I ordered sinigang beef and sayote beef n shrimp. My most favorite was the sinigang beef. The broth was well balanced with flavors and chunks of beef on bone. No hint of additional oil which made the soup flavorful as you would expect the slightly sour taste of the tamarind yet it was balanced with the right seasonings and veggies. The sayote beef/shrimp was full of flavor but the drawback for me is that it was oily even though the sayote dish is like a sabaw (soup) dish. If you love rice, they pack half the plate with white rice. The total cost for rice plus 2 items came out to $13.19 debit charge. It’s cheaper than other places but I think they have a pay scale depending on what you order. My receipt shows they charged me for a 2 item combo but I had an additional Charge of .99 cents for the sinigang beef. I guess the rice is considered an item as well. I’m not bothered by the charge since it’s still cheaper than other places I’ve been. So the rest of the food selections look good and well presented. I will come back to try more dishes. Overall my experience was good and the atmosphere is pleasant.

I have been going to Manila Sunrise since I was a boy. 42 now, I can say with great joy (and relief) that the quality has maintained. New staff as of some years ago have found their flow. They make solid to excellent examples of the classics. Their pancit malabon is my favorite between the US and the Philippines. Period. Might be sprinkling in some sentimental value there but pancit malabon well done and the demand for it is high. Btw this is a no frills place. You’re coming here for the food and the decent service, not the ambience. Maybe that was the issue some reviewers had of this place. If you don’t know what to get and it’s not too busy, staff will make some good suggestions. Do yourself a favor though and come here for a satisfying meal at a reasonable price.

Food is inexpensive here compared to other Filipino turo-turo. A three item combo with two meat selection is around $16. They have a loyalty card. When coming here make sure you pay cash. Palabok is their specialty here.

Very good "Lumpiang Shanghai" & it does'nt have the usual old cooking oil taste. the "pancit Malabon/palabok" was very good as well. cashier's customer service - 2 thumbs up.

I’ve always enjoyed eating at Manila Sunrise for many years. The staff is always smiling and accommodating. The only thing that I’d like for the restaurant to change is the way you introduced your pricing. I would suggest to just be upfront of β€œall” or total charge per item or combo. Please remove additional .99 cents here and there. If the one item is $ 9.00 then let it be that and do NOT confuse your customer on additional $1 here and there. It should not matter if it is meat or veggies. Just charge what you want to charge so when they get to the cashier, it’ll be an easier payment(s.) It will eliminate congestions at the cashier and less stress for everyone. I hope this matter gets resolved ASAP. A precise and simple advertising is the way for any business specially when it comes to pricing. Thank you and I hope this will help your business, employees and customer to have a smooth payment experience without question. πŸ’ŸπŸ™πŸΌβ˜ΊοΈ
